Eligibility Criteria of SBI Clerk Recruitment 2023
Age Limit:
Candidates age should be between 20 to 28 years as on 1st April 2023 Candidates must be born after 1st August 2003 and before 2nd August 1995 (both days inclusive).
Age Relaxation :
Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below
# SC/ST: 5 years
# OBC: 3 years
# PwD (Unreserved): 10 years
# PwD (OBC): 13 years
# PwD (SC/ST): 15 years
Education Qualification:
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government as of 31st December 2023
Final Year Candidates:
Those who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for graduation examination on or before 31st December
Local Language Proficiency:
Candidates applying for vacancies in a particular state / union territory should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in the particular local language of that /union territory.
Pay Scale:
The pay scale of the SBI Clerk is Rs.17900-1000/3-20900-1230/3-24590-1490/4-30550-1730/7-42600-3270/1-45930-1990/1-47920. The starting Basic Pay is Rs.19900/- (Rs.17900/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates).

Selection Process of SBI Clerk Recruitment
For selection to the posts of clerical cadre through SBI Clerk (Junior Associates) 2023 examination, candidates are selected through two stages of examination – SBI Clerk Prelims and SBI Clerk Mains examination. All candidates must clear both the stages to secure the appointment letter from SBI. There is no provision for Inter Circle Transfer / Inter State Transfer for recruitment of Junior Associates.
Phase I: Preliminary Examination
The online preliminary exam consists of an objective test of a total 100 marks and is conducted online. The duration of this exam is 1 hour and the three sections are as follows:

Each test mentioned above will have a separate time. Objective test will carry negative marks for wrong answers. 1/4 of the marks allotted for each question will be deducted for each wrong answer
Phase II: Main Examination
The online main exam consists of an objective test of total 200 marks and is conducted online. The duration of this exam is 2 hours 40 minutes and has three sections as follows:

There will be a voting period as mentioned above. Objective test will carry negative marks for wrong answers. Marks Marks for Answers 1/4 Marks to be answered for wrong answers. Nor is there any minimum qualifying mark for overall score.
Language Test
Candidates who are eligible for selection and provide 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate indicating study of specific chosen local language will be exempted from any language test. For those who have not studied the particular selected local language at 10th or 12th standard level, a language test will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining. Failure to qualify this test will result in an appointment being offered. Candidates who do not demonstrate proficiency in the specified selected local language will be disqualified.
Final Selection
The marks obtained in the preliminary examination (Stage-I) will not be included in the selection process, and only the cumulative marks obtained in the main examination (Stage-II) will be taken into consideration for the preparation of the final merit list. Provisional selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the main examination.
