Eligibility Criteria of Civil Defence & Home Guards Recruitment
Citizenship:
Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent residents of Assam.
Age Limit:
Minimum Age Limit: 18 years or Maximum Age Limit: 40 years as on 01-01-2024 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2006 and on or after 01.01.1984).
Age Relaxation:
Category wise age relaxation is as mention below

Educational Qualification
Below are the educational qualification as per the various posts mentioned

| Constable (Grade III) | Candidates must be H.S.L.C or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council. OR Candidates must possess Home Guard Certificate or Minimum NCC ‘A’ Certificate. (for candidates except Ex-Servicemen). Pl note that the persons having H.S.L.C. passed certificate but not possessing Home Guards Training Certificate or minimum NCC ‘A’ Certificate are not eligible to apply. |
| Dresser | Candidates must be H.S.L.C or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council. OR (a) 02 (two) years experience certificate on Dresser (Medical) work from a Govt. recognized Institute. (b) Trade skill including knowledge on contamination, sterilization and disinfection of instruments, preparation of chlorine solution, antiseptic & aseptic condition, procedure of decontamination, Cleaning & Bandaging wounds and other affected body parts. |
Note :- The persons having H.S.L.C. passed certificate but not possessing Home Guards Training Certificate or minimum NCC ‘A’ Certificate are not eligible to apply.
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must register his/her name in the local employment exchange of Assam.
Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
Pay scale:
Pay scale of Rs. 14,000-60,500 (Pay Band- II) and Grade pay Rs. 5000/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules.
